long leaders recipe for dry fly fishing?

What are your favorite recipes to create long leaders for dry fly fishing?

Personally, I use one 1.8 times the length of the rod, my rod is 8.5 feet, I use a 9-foot conical leader, I put 1 foot of tippet and then 4 feet of an even thinner one. This way the fly drop smoothly on the water and there is no drag. That's the one that works for me. which one do you use? Does anyone have experiences with Spanish leaders that are 2 times the length of the rod? I love this technique because it is the only one that works for fishing in the rivers where I live, the trout are not very gullible.
