This past summer living in the SW US has brought algae bloom to many bodies of water and I've noticed a slow down in bites. This past weekend, I fished a new reservoir and saw some people catching trout but I'm not often skunked and managed to net only one trout. I'm often throwing many types of colors and lure presentations and have great success but this summer has been different.
How are you approapproaching these conditions? The water color is green and visible algae floating. Are you using Jigs, Micetails, Powerbait, floating a nightcrawler off the bottom?
