I’ve mentioned it in comments and posts before and caused some confusion and some amazement, so I thought I’d post a pic of this Eagle Claw Pack-it my grandpa gave me several years ago with the Shakespeare reel.
He bought it when he was working in New Mexico and Colorado as a geologist but never learned to fly fish. However, this rod doubles as a 7wt fly rod, and a medium light spin rod since the bottom piece flips around.
I’ve only caught one fish (a tiny bluegill that swallowed a zebra midge fly) with it a few years ago but I’m hoping to toss some streamers for trout and poppers for bass soon! Has anyone else used one of these before?
