Went of fishing yesterday for brown trout and had incredible success. Caught over 15 browns in the span of about 5 hours. All were roughly the size from the photo attached. I’d guess about 10inch.
I was fishing a fast moving river about 30ft wide and maybe 2ft at the deepest part of the fast moving water.
Was wondering if browns for a river that size would get much bigger, and if so, what I should look for in the water. I am assuming the bigger fish would need deeper sections, but the water really slowed down when it got to about 3-4ft.
Any tips on finding where the bigger trout would be hiding, and what you guys would use to try and find them.
My set up was a medium light rod, 20lb braid, with 4ft of 5lb leader. Had a small silver mep as the lure.
