I'd appreciate and tips I can get on a brew trout setup. I've got some rivers I like to wade in and I primarily though out 1/16-1/8th jerk baits like the pinn's minnow.
Previously I've just used my all er rounder 6' 6"bass rod that's medium heavy with a fast action tip.
I'm thinking of getting a 7' ultra light with fast action tip. I plan to use 4 lb flouro.
I've read medium action can be better for hooking and keeping trout on treble hooks but the fast action is better for the snappy jerk action.
Any advice on what kind of rod to use?
I've also recently fell in love with baitcasters for my bass setup. Has anyone here put together a baitcaster setup for lightweight jerkbaits?
