Fishing a pond I’ve fished many times before I saw a rod sticking out of the water. I had seen people fishing earlier and assumed they had somehow thrown theyre spinning rod into the water. I managed to snag it with a large inline spinner and pull it out. I would guess from its condition that it’s been there for more than a year.
It was a “G-Loomis IMX-PRO 486-4 4wt (8,6 ft) and a Orvis reel”
I don’t fly fish or know anything about it, the coating is peeling off the rod and I don’t have a proper case to carry it around.
What’s it worth in resale value and if someone could tell me out of curiosity what’s it worth new?
What does the 486-4 and 4wt mean?
If I do want to use it what kind of flies do I use and where do I buy them?
