I bought a 6 foot light rod and tried it out today with 4lb mono test and trout magnets, but couldn’t get it out past about 15 feet. I’m used to bass and pier fishing with medium action but want to shift to creek trout fishing. When trying to cast, it felt like nothing was even there to cast? I don’t even know if this is a technique or weight issue…
