I feel like this is a similar thing to when I bought a motorcycle and had to ask how to fill the gas tank. Sometimes it's the simple stuff that you can't find good info on.
In the event you catch a fish or need to retie a lure while wading, what do you do with your rod?
I'm doing my first trout trip up in the WI Driftless next week, planning to wet wade, got a spinning rig, a sling pack (actually an old kavu rope bag) and a net, but not sure what the usual strategy is for setting your rod down when you need to. Seems like putting the whole rig in the water would be foolish, maybe wander over to the bank?
Maybe I'm overthinking and asking a dumb one, but it's how I learned to put gas in my bike, so here we are.
