So I'm in Southern Maine. Unfortunately I missed trout prime time in the spring and early summer due to some medical issues that stopped me from going to my usual spots (hiking rocky slopes with a cane is no bueno).
I'm seeing people posting trout their catching yet it's the late summer. All of the waters around me are full of smallmouth bass but no trout, and unfortunately I don't have a boat, so trolling and deep water fishing are a no go.
Any advice for southern or western maine? I'd like to snag a trout or two before the summer is out.
