Hello everyone,
I'm coming to ask about Garden Creek in Stone Mountain NC. I'm an experienced fly fisherman, but Garden Creek has always given me issues. I've hiked and fished up about 1.5 miles from the state park and have caught less than 10 brook trout on several trips. I've gone during all seasons and still can't seem to figure this stream out.
Has anyone else fished this stream and how far have you hiked up? In my experience, the further you hike the better the fishing gets. Has anyone tried to hike to the headwaters from Devil's garden overlook on the parkway? If so, how doable is the bushwacking?
